Beautiful campgrounds and grassy walking trails. We enjoyed the mix of forest and prairie. The interpretive center was small but had some kids activities.
Trails for the horses were well kept but very easy, great riding for families and non experienced riders
Very large restored prairie with nice native plants. Looks like more areas are slowly being restored as well. Personally I think the most scenic time of year here would be late September when the leaves and prairie are turning colors but I have only been here once in mid August. Some campsites have little or no shade so it can get a little warm in this spots.
Super cool view, but the trails were not that interesting.
Excellent place to go hiking with trees, prairie, hills, mosquitos, and mosquitos. It might be worth mentioning there are a lot of mosquitos.
